📝 Description (main section)

The Metaphor Method is a workshop designed to help you engage with your subconscious. The subconscious is an incredibly potent force in our lives, influencing our behaviors and emotional reactions. Altering the subconscious can lead to transformative changes in how you react with significantly less effort than continuously striving to adopt new behaviors. You will discover how to utilize images, symbols, and metaphors to facilitate the exploration of your personal issues and behaviors.
Everything you perceive, hear, and experience is encoded in your psyche as a symbol. When we cannot process events due to being overwhelmed, when they happen too quickly, or when we are too young or stressed to address them, they can become trapped as a collection of symbols that we struggle to decipher. Instead of revisiting the event or reliving the associated pain, we can employ metaphors and symbols to engage in deep healing and processing, which is often less distressing than re-experiencing the original events that caused the hurt.

Applying the metaphor method involves writing, drawing, or recording, making it adaptable to individuals' preferences and skill levels.

This approach fosters a practical form of creative connection — without any pressure to be “artistic” or flawless. It leverages a process that bypasses the amygdala and instead taps into the creative parts of the brain that draw from the subconscious.
